Information about the Confederate Veteran's Spouse(s) is entered using the following section of the form. Note that the Confederate Graves Registry supports multiple spouses for each veteran if appropiate. 
Spouse: First and Middle name. Last is assumed to be the same as the veteran. Maiden name can be entered if available and applicable. All can be used as search items. Marriage Date: Year, Month and Day. "unknown" is supported in each field so partial information can be entered. Year should be the four digit number such as "1861." Marriage Year can be used as a search term. Marriage Location: City, County, State and Country. Abbreviations for State should be used, for example GA. Country should be left blank if USA or CSA. Country is reserved to properly register the marriage location for veterans who were born in other countries. All fields can be used as search entries. Add Spouse: Check this box and when the Submit or Edit button is clicked the form will be displayed with an additional Spouse section. Multiple Spouses can be entered. All entered and approved Spouse entries will be available for veteran search. |
